It's not normal for your eyesight to get that bad that it can affect your school work ability. You could have a serious eye disease that needs to be treated immediately. I'm sorry this is happening to you. It must be really scary and frustrating. I have albinism which also affects my vision so I was born legally blind. My vision is like what a normal person could see at 200 ft I'd have to be 20 ft from that same object to see it. It always frustrated me in school and made me upset even tho i've always been that way. Now that i've gotten over my insecurities I use a monocular to read the chalkboard in college. It's like a pair of binoculars only its much smaller and you only look thru it with one eye. But you need to see an eye dr. If they give you a simple eye test at school & you fail it they will send a letter home to your mom requesting that she take you to the eye dr and ask her to let them know when you have gone. Your teacher probably knows a way to help you get glasses for low cost, and can help your mom by telling her too. I'm not trying to get you to "tattle" on your mom, but apparently she's not taking your needs into consideration. If you cant do your school work, then she needs to figure out some way to help you. The teacher can have a conference with your mom, and let her know what she needs to do for you. Most importantly, you need to let your teacher know so that he or she doesn't think that you are becoming a bad student because you are not trying, let the teacher know that you have a problem.
