How much does lasic eye surgery cost? To correct nearsightedness?

April 4th, 2010 | by admin |

Is lasic eye surgery painful? does anyone have any info on it?

I got mine done before christmas. completely painless, during and even after. my eyes were a LITTLE dry, but nothing unbearable, and even if it did hurt, it’s definitely worth it. I was in there for about 2 minutes. and it cost 2990 for BOTH eyes. also, don’t get lasik, it’s not a good. get PRK instead. It’s usually more expensive, but much much better in the long run!

A guy name Mikey got eye surgery. He’s in a band called My Chemical Romance. Find out more about his eye surgery on youtube.com, or google.com. Just type in Mikey Way’s eye surgery. Hope this helps, good luck!

Prices vary from $500 per eye to $1500 per eye. This is not a situation where you want to "go cheap".

    It doesn’t hurt.

I have an opthalmologist who is near sighted and wears glasses. The procedure isn’t perfect and doesn’t work for everyone. Also, mistakes can be made.

I think that you should avoid any type of surgery that you don’t really need.

I know a couple of people who were so blind without glasses that they were worried that they could take care of themselves or protect themselves if something happened to the glasses – or in an emergency situation. In that case, I think it was worth the risk.

Most Drs. will only do one eye at a time – but if they say they’re going to do both at once, get the heck out of there.

Do proper research into this, lasic is not cheap and can cost upward of $2000 for each eye.
Make sure you go to a professional who is qualified and not just anyone… if they screw up you can end up blind.

it’s extremely risky. the cost depends on now bad your eyes actually are. if you have around -1.00 then it would cost around 1,000$ for each eye separately. but if it’s -3.00 or more then expect around $5,000 for each eye. i dont think you should worry about the cost.. like the person above said you cant put a price on eyesight and if they screw up you’re done for it

do some research like i have. i found the best places to get it done are at Lasik Plus and TLC Laser Eye Centers.

Yes they cost more but you cant put a price on eyesight

    less then 1% go blind
other complications can be fixed easily

also make sure your at least 20 before getting it done or else your sight will just go bad again

    cost- up to 5,000?
