My laser vision correction at Kraff Eye Institute

April 3rd, 2010 | by admin |

The all-laser no-blade LASIK procedure done on me July 16, 2009. Specifically, this procedure would be considered SBK (sub-Bowman’s keratomileusis), meaning the corneal flaps are ultra-thin – 100 microns or less.

My glasses and contacts before surgery had corrections of -7 to -8 diopters, so I was very nearsighted.

Video begins after the IntraLase laser has created the corneal flaps on both eyes. You will see Dr. Kraff first lifting the laser-cut corneal flaps, and then the vision correction treatment with the VISX Star S4 laser.

My post-operative vision has been excellent – 20/15 or better in both eyes with no complications whatsoever.
